Here at Tasmanian Property & Home Inspections, we provide a comprehensive building inspection service to all our clients.
In our role as a building inspector in Tasmania, we conduct extensive visual inspections of properties that are checked off by our fully qualified and State Government Accredited Building Practitioner.
We offer:

Rental/tenancy building inspection and report
This inspection and report is suitable for Landlords after a tenant has vacated or for tenants for peace of mind when moving into a new residential or commercial building
Domestic dilapidation inspection and report
Commercial dilapidation inspection and report
Boundary and set back measurement service
This service is generally requested by lawyers and starts at $300 +GST if booked in to be done at same time as the initial property inspection. This is an extra service and not part of the standard pre-purchase report. Rural or acreage properties are not included.
New Build Inspection Package
This package includes four unannounced inspections during the construction with a report issued on standards of the work on site.
Upon completion of our inspection, we complete a detailed report on the status of the property (check out our FAQs for a detailed list of items we check). This will be a completely independent, unbiased report that will highlight any areas of concern that we may have now or could see potentially occurring in the future. Our reports are written in layman’s terms so they are easy to read and understand. We provide a quick service delivering our reports within one day of the inspection.

What we check
In our role as building inspectors in Tasmania, we will conduct an extensive inspection of the residential, commercial, new build or dilapidated property. Our inspections are carried out in a professional and thorough manner and all aspects of the property will be inspected. This involves a visual and physical check of the property from a road visage, as well as a full inspection of the interior and exterior of the property. The purpose of an inspection is access the overall appearance and condition of the dwelling looking for any signs of cracking, damp or any other physical issues with the property that you should be aware of. In our report, we will give a full and honest assessment of the property highlighting any areas of concern. These concerns will be explained to you in detail putting you in a position to make a more informed decision about the property.
